CARZONE / AUCTION GUIDE

How it works.

Know the vehicle, the costs and your next step.

Synthetic auction preview

This preview supports browsing, saved searches and personal review notes. Bidding, seller submissions, payments and vehicle transfers are not available.

01 / BUYING

From shortlist to an informed decision.

01

Find vehicles that fit

Search by make, current bid or starting price, and location. Save your criteria and watch individual vehicles. Prices can change before an auction closes.

Find an auction
02

Review the evidence

Read known defects, service history and document availability. A report being available does not establish that a vehicle is verified. Missing accident, flood or ownership information remains unknown.

Use your review checklist and note questions for the seller. The sample listings do not replace a real inspection.

03

Set your total budget

Allow for the proposed bid, applicable buyer fees, collection and transfer costs. The homepage calculator shows an editable example fee and identifies costs that have not been provided.

04

Watch the closing time

Closing times are shown in Kuala Lumpur time. Download a calendar reminder from the vehicle page. When real bidding becomes available, check the published terms and confirm the amount before submitting a bid.

05

Check the outcome

A closing bid is not automatically a sale. Results distinguish a sample sale from an unmet reserve or a pending outcome. Payment and collection arrangements must be established before a real purchase can proceed.

02 / COSTS

Budget beyond the bid.

Proposed bid
The amount you are considering. It is not a guaranteed purchase price.
Buyer fee
The calculator starts at an illustrative 3%, which you can change. This is not Carzone's fee schedule.
Collection
Enter your own estimate if known. A blank value means not provided, not free.
Transfer and other costs
Not configured in the preview. These are excluded from the known subtotal.

Carzone's real fees and transaction terms have not been configured. Sample estimates are not quotes.

03 / SELLING

Prepare a complete vehicle record.

  • Ownership and selling authority

Prepare vehicle identification and evidence of ownership, or authority to act for the owner.

  • Clear, current photographs

Include exterior, interior, engine bay, odometer and known defects. Match the photos to the vehicle being offered.

  • Condition and history

Record known issues, modifications, service work and available inspection findings. Identify gaps rather than assuming a clean history.

  • Auction and collection details

Agree the reserve, timing, fees and handover arrangements before a real listing is published.

Seller submissions are not enabled in this preview.

04 / QUESTIONS

A few things to know.

Can I place a real bid here?

No. The current site is an auction preview using fictional vehicle data and sample bids. It does not accept binding bids or payments.

What does no reserve mean?

In a no-reserve auction there is no seller-set minimum sale price. The sample reserve labels demonstrate auction states; they do not represent vehicles offered for sale.

Are the inspection reports verified?

No. Reports in this preview are fictional summaries. Missing evidence is marked as not provided, and report availability is not a verification badge.

Where are my saved items stored?

Watchlists, searches, checklists and question drafts are saved in this browser. They do not sync to an account. Clearing browser storage removes them; question drafts are not sent to sellers.

Why are some final bids not marked sold?

The reserve may not have been met, or the result may still be pending. A final bid alone does not confirm a completed sale.

Will my auction reminder keep updating?

No. The downloaded calendar file records the sample time at download. It is not a live calendar subscription. Synthetic auction times reset after a six-hour browser session.
